How in the world can something keep driving along after a piece like this has bronken off? I just don't get it! Clearly the strength of this metal had to be necessary for the operation of some type of engine. At the very least it was holding something together. I don't think things made this 'heavy' and strong are just hood ornaments! It really scares me to think of the runaway trailer that could be out there bounding along because the piece holding it to the tractor is now sitting amidst my metal collection. And, all I did was rescue it from the gutter while walking along minding my own business. I don't even recall the sound of brakes squeeling or sirens blaring.
