It looks like an "L". Or maybe it is bent into the shape of a sock. Could be an upsidedown backward candy cane slightly bent out of shape. No matter what, I found it on the floor of someones classroom on our campus. This is meaningful tonight for two reasons...the main one being that I'm out of, and not thinking about, classrooms for the next two weeks!!! More importantly, in getting into the head of whichever student carried it into the classroom I am concerned about his/her motive. It was ditched in plain sight between the door and student desks. Clearly someone thought better of keeping the object, or was concerned about getting caught with it in their possession. Now that I think about it, maybe its intended use was as a shank...and some deep dark evil was thwarted when it was haphazardly discarded. Or, it was just a piece of the chain link fence and "hitch-hiked" its way into the room attached to someones tennis shoe.
